I'm Rachel, the founder of The Confused Millennial, a lifestyle blog sharing personal experience and advice to help other confused millennials navigate this whole "#adulting" thing on topics like careers, entrepreneurship, finance, the home, relationships and more. After earning my Master's Degree in Counseling, and landing my "dream job" I found myself feeling completely miserable with no work-life balance. I rectified the situation by getting in touch with my passions and started coaching millennials to create their own blog or business that they could turn into a fulfilling and sustainable career. My expertise has been seen on Forbes as a contributing writer, Fast Company, Brit + Co, Dailyworth, and more. Learn more about working together on turning your blog into a business here.
I’ll be completely honest. After quitting my full time job in November 2017, I was in super feminine energy. I relaxed, went on vacation, got my hair and nails done, and barely lifted a finger. I made more money than I ever had before — I had a $6,000 day. But then at the end of December 2017, I had a MASSIVE URGE to hustle like crazy. I couldn’t stop working. I was continuously upgrading everything in my businesses. I changed logos, websites, services, employees, everything. And what happened? I got tons of new clients.
I was thinking the same. I've never heard a "professional" man of his age, speaking like such a catty little 15 year old girl. If you read all the comments you can see how he speaks down to/mocks every person who disagrees with him, while sarcastically throwing little digs in wherever he can. I came to this article looking for evidence to discredit the LOA. I just can't seem to take anything he wrote seriously because of his unprofessionalism. Very narrsassitic.
As you move forward defining characteristics and attributes, define physical attributes and define the associated feelings. If you are shooting for happy, define happy. What is that for you? Take time to define and describe every detail. Remember the old saying, ‘Be careful what you ask for you just might get it?’ Keep in mind that you leave nothing to chance. An incomplete description can leave multiple options for the materialization of your dream; some may be just what you asked for but not at all what you wanted. Be specific. The more time you spend here, the more comprehensive your definition of your dream, the more accurately your dream will materialize in a way that closely resembles what you desire.
Your true desires are high vibration. When your emotional vibrations are high, you attract and manifest your true desires faster. When your emotional vibrations are low, you attract and manifest things that you do not truly desire. Your true desires are the state of the source which is abundance, freedom, love, power, awareness and total success in everything. To be godlike.
8. KEEP YOUR VIBRATIONAL ENERGY HIGH. Another very important step. This means keep your spirits high as much as possible. We all go through difficult times, but try to find the humor in the challenges. Take chances. Say YES! Look for the good in everything. Yes, even that mother-in-law you’re dreading seeing at Thanksgiving is a good person who is here to teach you. Find out what that lesson is and be done with it. I said, be done with IT, not HER! Feelings that vibrate low are jealousy, anger, fear, hatred, resentment — you get the point. Bad feelings that make you feel, well, BAD. Check those at the door! LOVE vibrates the highest and will attract all the good stuff to you. You feel GOOD — you attract GOOD. Again, it’s that simple.
Even deeper, they could know what they want, but they are afraid they are not worthy of having it. This is a huge problem and stems from a lack of self-worth. It’s more difficult when you don’t see yourself as valuable of the good things that we are destined to have. Some people forget that it’s our birthright to be blessed beyond measure, so we accept whatever is handed to us.
The New Thought movement (Law of Attraction Origins) grew out of the teachings of Phineas Quimby in the early 19th century. Early in his life, Quimby was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Unfortunately, medicinal treatment wasn't working, so he began carriage riding through his hometown, Lebanon, New Hampshire. He then regained his health and recovered, an event that prompted his study of "mind over body". Although he never used the words 'Law of Attraction', he explained this in a statement that captured the concept in the field of health:
You can control your feeling with your thought. Positive thought and feeling is high vibration. What you resonate, you will accumulate. You can still make progress even when your vibrations are low but it would not be as quick and easy as it would be when your vibrations are high. Keep your vibrations high to manifest what you want quickly in life. Anything in motion will continue in motion, unless an opposing force emerges to neutralize it. Feeling positive emotions means you are allowing your desires to flow towards you without resistance.
The series was met with a mixed response from critics upon its premiere. On the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, the series holds an approval rating of 59% with an average rating of 6.89 out of 10, based on 32 reviews. The website's critical consensus reads, "Manifest's attempts to balance supernatural mystery and melodrama largely work thanks to its well-chosen cast — though it could use a few more distinguishing characteristics." Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the series a score of 55 out of 100 based on 15 critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews."
The Law of Attraction has been popularized in the early 21st century by books and films such as The Secret. This 2006 film and the subsequent book use interviews with New Thought authors and speakers to explain the principles of the proposed metaphysical law that one can attract anything that one thinks about consistently. Writing for the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, Mary Carmichael and Ben Radford wrote that "neither the film nor the book has any basis in scientific reality", and that its premise contains "an ugly flipside: if you have an accident or disease, it's your fault".
Remember that there is a difference between sending out a hope that something you'd like to happen will happen and putting in the appropriate effort or planning to ensure that something actually will happen. If you don't believe that something will happen, perhaps you're not willing to plan and work for it. You need a balance of both hope (to inspire) and effort (to achieve) for an outcome to be realized.
A Course in Miracles teaches that on some level, you’ve asked for everything that happens in your life. Your intentions create your reality. There’s no need to beat yourself up: simply recognizing how your low-level thoughts negatively affect your life is the first powerful step toward changing your experiences. Begin your manifesting process by getting honest about how your low-level thoughts, energy, and feelings of disbelief block you from receiving what you desire. Once you get clear about the blocks, you can begin to clean them up to clear space for positive manifestations to occur.

The main principles of the Law of Attraction can also be discovered in the teachings of many civilizations and religious groups. An example, in the Proverbs 23:7, it reads ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so is he’. Proof of praise for the Laws of Attraction can be uncovered throughout the ages; all recorded and taught in different ways, but still there for all of humanity to find.
Is The Law Of Attraction Selfish
I am trained as a "hard science" PhD in Pharmacology and do understand scientific method. The LOA is not based on scientific method and the erroneous conclusions in metaphysics are based on incorrect scientific assumptions. These assumptions may have seemed reasonable in the 1800s that there was no air around us, only ether and that thoughts only transmit through ether. Perhaps this assumption is correct, however we are not surrounded by ether.

Each one of your thoughts is a unit of mental energy mostly composed of electricity. Electrical energy is focused direct energy. On the other hand, the energy powering your feelings or emotions is mostly made up of magnetic energy. Magnetic energy either attracts of repels. The combination of thoughts + feelings creates a subtle electromagnetic field which cannot be seen but can be felt and even measured.
So unfortunately he did not teach that you throw things out into the ether etc..... You are one with the creator, you create, shape and alter things not attract things from out of fresh air, I mean if you take his Barbados tickets, how on earth can anyone say he attracted the tickets, he went out and altered PHYSICAL things, situations, peoples thoughts and views and was given his tickets: just one example.
If you're having trouble finding a specific method to reach a given goal, it's possible your goal isn't specific enough. For instance, writing a goal as vague as "Be successful!" is going to leave you in the dust when it comes to thinking up tangible methods. Rather, try to focus it in so that you might better grasp a means of reaching it. Possible changes could be "Be more successful with musical performance" or "Be more successful in my personal relationships."
Create a "Bucket List." Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman starred in this wonderful film as strangers who both found out they were going to die, and they created a list of all the things they wanted to do before "kicking the bucket." Some were huge, like sitting on a pyramid, and some were small, like laughing until you cried. Your turn! Create a bucket list to see what is lying deep in your heart.
Yes Pwalker281, I agree with you. It is a struggle choosing which angle to view it from, the quantum physics angle, the religious angle, buddhism, the secret. I like to think that it is part of our mission (as individuals in this reality)to finally realise and understand that everything is one, connected and to stop questioning it and just experience the love in life. Something like that anyway! :) Deep down we all just want to love, there is no hate, or at least no where near as powerful as love. We are perhaps beings of love that created this physical world to experience just how powerful love and happiness could be, which is why we need bad and good. Having the bad makes the good so so much more wonderful.
