I used to do a lot of work helping people to stop smoking. There are only 2 reasons people don’t stop smoking. One, because they don’t want to (often this is subconscious) Two, because they don’t believe it’s possible. Or they assume it will be incredibly difficult and painful, and they can’t do it without suffering forever. (Again, this is often subconscious and it is a flawed assumption).

Now that you understand what the Law of Attraction really is and how it works, let’s talk about the ways you can use it to improve your life. The Law of Attraction is a universal principle that is already working in your life. Start intentionally thinking and feeling what it is you want to attract into your life — such as money, love and relationships, health and spirituality — to make the Law of Attraction work for you.
The more you can feel like you are living your dreams today, the faster they will manifest in your life. Find small ways to begin living your dreams today. If you dream of finding love, take yourself on solo dates and find ways to give to others. If you dream of having financial abundance, wear your best clothes and take care of your belongings. If you dream of traveling, explore your own city and try new activities. All of these small actions will begin to create a new feeling inside of you, which will in turn attract opportunities for the fulfillment of your dreams.
Visualize the life you want. After having analyzed your current life, it's not a far stretch to envision the things you'd like to see done differently. Think about the life you have, and use that as a springboard to imagine your ideal life. What would be different? Break down your dream life into aspects-- work, love, social etc. Write a sentence at least for each applicable aspect of your life. Mapping it out as a thought web is helpful as well.
I am an energy person. I believe in attracting what you’re putting out into the Universe. It’s crucial to stay at a high vibration if you want to manifest your dreams. Limit negative self talk, or negative conversations and people around you. Pay attention to when jealousy or comparison gets you down, and switch out those tasks for things that give you confidence and inspiration. A daily mindfulness practice is essential. It’s also why I recommend starting with something like A Course In Miracles or May Cause Miracles (the “millennial” version of ACIM), to get you in the habit of a daily practice. Really there are tons of apps out their for meditation and inspiration today, that there’s no excuse to not take a mindful moment every day.
If you’re practicing the technique on something bigger, this exercise may be tricky, but use your imagination. If you’re trying to lose weight, go out and buy an outfit that fits the size you’re aiming for. If you want a new car, go to a dealership and shop around. If you’re aiming for something as big as complete financial freedom, start planning what you’re going to do with all that free time and money.
Look. Yes, you should have a vision of what you want your life to look like. I have a very clear vision. But it’s not hanging over my head. It’s in my pocket. Actually, it’s in my phone. And it changes as I change. They are a list of wants and goals but not needs. They do not define me or my worth. My vision acts as a compass. Do I want these things? Fuck yes I want these things. Will I not allow myself to be happy if I don’t obtain them? Nope. Been there, done that. Never again.
