Arielle: One of the most common reasons is that after a few bad relationships some people unconsciously shut down and give up.  They no longer believe the right person is out there for them and while one part of them is saying “YES, I want a relationship,” the other part is saying “NO! I’m afraid to get hurt again.” A big part of manifesting love is preparing yourself by overcoming the emotional wounds and baggage that we all have.
1. The scatter effect. When you tell other people about your goals and ideals, your focus is drained. By telling others, you instill a false sense of accomplishment in yourself, as if it were already done. It sucks you dry of motivation essentially. Then you don't act on it because you no longer feel motivated to. You spent your focus at the wrong time. It's better to keep it to yourself, and channel the focus within you each day.

I don’t believe the Law of Attraction is complete nonsense. I just believe it’s one piece of a bigger puzzle. It’s like the diet part to the diet and exercise needed if you want to change your body. I do believe in energy. I do believe in the power of visualization, beliefs, and using you entire body as an instrument. This means feeling not just thinking. And I believe if you live in a certain state / or “vibration” good does happen. Yes, there is science behind this. But I believe it because I have experienced it in my own life.

Sometimes you don’t get what you want simply because you don’t bother to do anything—like send out a resume, join a singles group, or save money for a new car. In fact, the effort that you put forth create what you want through your action is seen by the Kabbalists as the most important aspect of the manifestation process.
Affirmations are a powerful tool to reprogram your subconscious mind and attract what you desire. Write a list of empowering beliefs that you want to have, such as: I am enough. I am powerful. I am loved. I am financially secure. I am divinely guided and inspired. I am complete and beautiful exactly as I am. Make sure you feel them as you say them. Feeling is the secret ingredient.

Things happen faster when you let go and be patient. If you keep worrying about it, you are thinking about lack. if you let go of it, there's no resistance. What's there to block you? I like the example of gravity that Supernova gave us about the plane notion. we can still fly planes despite gravity. Otherwise without gravity we would keep ascending into the depths of space! The same way, you can attract nothing despite LoA actually attracting it for you.. Adding to this, there is still the force of gravity acting on the plane but the net resultant force is upwards. The same way, you think the law of attraction won't work for you but in fact it's the law of attraction giving you the stuff that is needed in order to change your mindset that it will not work for you and hence go to the default issue that many people have. You can control your feeling with your thought. Positive thought and feeling is high vibration. What you resonate, you will accumulate. You can still make progress even when your vibrations are low but it would not be as quick and easy as it would be when your vibrations are high. Keep your vibrations high to manifest what you want quickly in life. Anything in motion will continue in motion, unless an opposing force emerges to neutralize it. Feeling positive emotions means you are allowing your desires to flow towards you without resistance.
Expect that the universe is more likely to give you things if you’re already grateful for what it has provided to you. Giving an asked-for birthday gift to someone and barely receiving a thank you, you’d likely avoid providing a second gift. On the other hand, you’d get excited about giving a repeat gift to someone who enthusiastically expressed their appreciation for your gift. Imagine the universe in the same way.
You can pray, meditate, journal, go to yoga, see your energy healer, whatever you have to do to reconnect with your inner guide and the belief that you are divinely supported and can have, be, or do anything you want. And you can affirm, affirm, affirm until you believe what you say. And you can work these five steps forward and backward and all around until you create such high vibrations around trusting this process that you do start to believe that anything is possible for you.

I like to think that it is part of our mission (as individuals in this reality)to finally realise and understand that everything is one, connected and to stop questioning it and just experience the love in life. Something like that anyway! :) Deep down we all just want to love, there is no hate, or at least no where near as powerful as love. We are perhaps beings of love that created this physical world to experience just how powerful love and happiness could be, which is why we need bad and good. Having the bad makes the good so so much more wonderful.

The next step is crucial to the manifestation process. In order to truly manifest your desires into form, you gotta chill out! A Course in Miracles teaches: “Those who are certain of the outcome can afford to wait and wait without anxiety.” Take this message with you and allow your faithfulness to guide you into the belief that what you desire is on the way. Also trust that the Universe has a much better plan than you do. Though you are clear about what you want, you cannot control the timing or the form in which it comes. Stay calm, relax, and trust that the Universe has your back!
It’s important to understand that mindfulness isn’t about changing anything or trying to understand it. This is because the analytical and judgement aspects — our automatic reactions — are unhealthy and actually perpetuate the problem. It reinforces the connection in our brain between the action and the negative feeling. To release that connection, approach it without judgement. Let it be.
Creating a vision board is easy. Go through magazines or search the internet to find images that represent what you want to attract. It doesn’t matter if the images are metaphorical or literal. The important thing is that the images speak to you and connect with your desires. Attach the images to a board and place it in a prominent place where you will look at it every day.

Teachings on manifestation sometimes fail to dig deep enough into the subconscious roots of our current patterns of creation. Look. Yes, you should have a vision of what you want your life to look like. I have a very clear vision. But it’s not hanging over my head. It’s in my pocket. Actually, it’s in my phone. And it changes as I change. They are a list of wants and goals but not needs. They do not define me or my worth. My vision acts as a compass. Do I want these things? Fuck yes I want these things.
