And they'll try to use the "LoA" as a way to get more 'things' which really just satisfies ones ego and comes from a place of lack. They use it as a tool, as a means to an end. But it's not a tool, it's more of a "this is how it works" and being consciously aware of how it works can be pretty powerful, just not *necessarily* in the way many would think (red lamborghinis and such).

Michale does an incredible job of explaining LOA and sharing how to use it in your own life without all the mumble-jumble. Straight forward, easy to understand, and apply makes it a great book to read and read and read. I also listen to his podcasts and following him on youtube. He practices what he preaches and encourages everyone to be success in manifesting their dreams.
Emotions help you create reality. When you believe in something, love and cherish it, you can create it more quickly. You have the power to manifest anything your heart desires! If there is anything you want to create more of, focus upon it. Whatever you turn your attention to, you will create. What we give out, we get back. The energy you give out is the results you get. Imagine what your life would be like if your mind could always be focused on thoughts that were filled with joy, peace, love, abundance and feeling successful! Whenever you feel good, you are in vibrational harmony with your desires.
Develop self-confidence.[10] The most glaring risk in pursuing your dreams is that you'll lose focus halfway through and give up. The most direct way to circumvent this is by developing a strong sense of self-confidence. With self-confidence, you'll be able to depend on yourself when the going gets tough. Of course, self-confidence is something that takes a lot more than words to truly feel. Though easier said than done, there are lots of exercises you can do to boost your sense of self-worth.
The series was met with a mixed response from critics upon its premiere. On the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, the series holds an approval rating of 59% with an average rating of 6.89 out of 10, based on 32 reviews. The website's critical consensus reads, "Manifest's attempts to balance supernatural mystery and melodrama largely work thanks to its well-chosen cast — though it could use a few more distinguishing characteristics."[22] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the series a score of 55 out of 100 based on 15 critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews."[23]
When I tell people that this is what it really means to believe in a law of attraction, they don't believe me. They say, that's ridiculous. We don't control everything in the universe. But you are a perfect example of the negative, blame the victim side of the LOA. I understand, appreciate, and respect that maintaining this perspective is consistent with your beliefs in the LOA. My personal belief is that this is not healthy for you, others with whom you connect, or for society in general.
Next, sit, breathe and quiet your mind, eyes closed. Go through the images, giving them life and feeling and also attach the feeling of already having it, like euphoria, satisfaction, a sense of joy a having fulfilled your dreams etc. Touch the objects, smell the air, talk to someone, anything to convince the subconscious mind that it's real or that you want it enough.
And no, "But science is sooooooooo mysterious, we can't know for sure..." is not a legitimate argument. REAL science states that you DO NOT believe that something is true UNTIL it has been positively proven, NOT that you treat as if it is because "maybe." And no again, doing so is NOT "keeping an open mind" - keeping an open mind means accepting things for good reasons, not "just because." That's called "being a gullible sucker."
Unfortunately, this author has an extremely superficial understanding of the LOA. While he may claim to have read all of the books, he clearly didn't understand them. He really isn't to blame as unfortunately many of the books written on the LOA are written by people that do not fully understand it themselves. The statement that positive thoughts always bring positive things is a faulty premise that is not at the basis of the LOA.
From the moment we’re born, every single one of us receives societal programming: parental, media, peer. Very few of us have a true idea of what our authentic essence is and what it truly desires to thrive. Manifesting starts with taking deep inventory of that programming we’re raised with, then getting into your authentic essence and asking yourself what you truly want—and, finally, breaking the mold of what limits you from achieving that.
Michael Losier is the best on the law of attraction issue. He teaches one exactly how to master the art of "believe". It is easy to tell people that the law of attraction works; however, the LOA works if one firmly believes in receiving something specific. Now what if one can not convince oneself to deeply believe? Michael has a whole chapter on how one can realistically think ones desire into reality.
Thank you for your comments. Hard to be positive when talking about the LOA. It's focus on blaming is pervasive. I am a positive psychologist and have proposed a new way of looking at attraction called the Principle of Attraction. As a Principle, like tends to attract like. Positive thoughts, feelings, actions, and words often attracts positivity...but not always. It's not a law, it's a principle, based on positive and social psychology.

You are describing how it is desirable to have the good and bad. Death is good. Aging is good. Disease is good. I don't necessarily disagree with your premise. However, these are not the things that people typically want or desire to fill their lives. When you talk about creation and destruction being natural phenomenon, I agree. But invoking the law of attraction should stop the destruction part if that's what I want to attract. This is irrespective of it being objectively good or bad.
I read one page a day and by the end of the year, I was a different person. Everyday I would focus on a single quote and I would try to keep it in the front of my mind for the duration of the day and it changed the way I looked at and thought about things. Sometimes it was hard to comprehend into my own life but I made it happen and by the end, the ideas stuck with me and now I live differently. I would recommend this book highly but I also recommend reading Ask and It is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks first.

How Does The Law Of Attraction Actually Work

5. Your Desire Forms the Basis of Every Manifestation. Is there an outcome you long for and yet somehow never experience? By examining your desire in every dimension, you can discover what may be blocking the manifestation of your dreams. If your desire is in alignment with your essence, you need not be concerned with the “how to”—your desire will be manifested.

Signs That Your Desire Is Manifesting

I used to do a lot of work helping people to stop smoking. There are only 2 reasons people don’t stop smoking. One, because they don’t want to (often this is subconscious) Two, because they don’t believe it’s possible. Or they assume it will be incredibly difficult and painful, and they can’t do it without suffering forever. (Again, this is often subconscious and it is a flawed assumption).
